hmm another disadvantage here
u cant use any javascript in content files
not even simple alert works out of content file

looks like very well crafted ajax history weapon
in my case i cant get something to work properly

for example:
lets say u need a link in the content2.html to do exactly the same as the link Show content2 on example.html would do

what would i need to do to get this functionality into the content zone, having a href object with history attribute doesnt call somecallbackfunc at all if its placed in one of the conetent.html file

Bas… you keep outdoing yourself. I was pulling my hair out trying to write something like this myself last week. I finally gave up, but I think I am going to give your sweet script a try. I will let you know how it works.
