Hi Itay, I just tested your code local and it seems to call the onFailure method. I see you're doing a POST request, maybe you should change it to a GET request. A guy called 'smack' had the same problem, he found the solution, you can find it on the Mootools Forums.

Hi,

I am trying the example above to load a XML file.
var bob=new function(req,xml){
alert(xml);
}
var a=new XHR({method:’post’,onSuccess:bob}).send(’source.xml’);

I keep getting the error (I use no compression on mootools and download everything)
fn.create is not a function mootools.js line 600

The XML document is passed as the second argument to the onSuccess function.

So to work with it do:
showSuccess = new function(response, responseXML)
and in the function you can do for example:
responseXML.getElementsByTagName('nodeTagName')[0]

Hello.
I used Mootools Ajax since some months, but recently i used it to load an XML file, with some CDATA elements into to put some HTML content in my XML….
But the result I get is that any html tags into my CDATA elements are still considered as XML tags, nodeType 1, and not as CDATA elements… So actually i can’t insert HTML text in an XLM if I want to load it in Ajax via mootools…
Is anybody having any idea?
